Schoolbus rocks

Remember in Raiders of the Lost Ark when a student writes "LOVE YOU" on her eyelids and then blinks at Indy?

Despite sounding slightly nerve-racking (who will you sit beside?), the Music Nova Scotia Indie Bus sounds like a pretty great idea. Driving to Liverpool, for Nova Scotia Music Week, the bus will take a gang of interested parties for a day of learning. Check out such essential workshops such as "Collectives and DIY Record Labels: How to release your own album," with Dave Ewenson (Just Friends), Jud Haynes (Dependent Records) and Rob MacArthur (From Here to There Records); "Touring 101/Booking your own tour," with Jud Haynes (formerly of Wintersleep), Jason Burns (Down With the Butterfly), Brock Gallant (The Divorcees), PJ Dunphy (Iron Giant, The Monoxides) or you can woo Grant Lawrence from CBC Radio 3 at the "Making Friends with the Media" workshop. Remember in Raiders of the Lost Ark when a student writes "LOVE YOU" on her eyelids and then blinks at Indy? Try that! The bus leaves the Rock Garden at 8:30am on Saturday, November 10 and gets back that night ($25, workshops included).
