Press release HQ sez: “Music Nova Scotia, with the support of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage, invites all Artists and Groups to apply for the Music Nova Scotia Showcase at ECMA 2009 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland February 26 - March 1, 2009.” Newfoundland is totally bangin’. You would do well to try to go there. The deadline is Friday, December 12 at 5pm, so stop stalling. Here is the list of things for you to read and do:- Artist/Groups must be a member in good standing of Music Nova Scotia.- There is no cost to apply for showcases.- It is strongly encouraged to be an ECMA member (for its own benefits) but it is not required for application to this showcase.- Submit completed online application form and include sonicbids.com, myspace.com and/or website links in provided fields. Please make sure that your online presence is up to date as the music will be juried from these links. DO NOT EMAIL MP3s.-For the online submission form please go to: http://musicnovascotia.ca/ECMA/ECMA%202009/index.php- A committee chosen by Music Nova Scotia will jury the applications and their decision will be final.- Applications must be received at the Music Nova Scotia office by 5:00PM on Friday, December 12, 2008.- Payment for the show will be $92 for lead performer + $62.50 per side player to a maximum of 4 performers.
