Take a little break from feeling bananas this Christmas and chill out by watching a 4-hour documentary on Tom Petty. Hear me out… first of all, it’s for Feed Nova Scotia, and second of all, it’s conveniently broken up into two screenings (Monday, December 22, 10pm, $5 and Tuesday, December 23, 10pm, $5 all proceeds go to Feed Nova Scotia, and you are welcome to bring non-perishable food items in addition to your admission). Both nights are at the Carleton. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Peter Bogdanovich (and perhaps more importantly, he played Dr. Melfi’s shrink in The Sopranos), Runnin’ Down A Dream is your new go-to source for all things Petty. Who hasn’t learned to play guitar by strumming “Free Fallin’”? The film was selected to close the 2007 New York Film Festival, too. Fancy!
