Myles, Plaskett and Carroll (again!) throw down, song styles

That new president of theirs really is bridging the gap between our nations—despite the notable qualifier of being Canadian, three local dudes have picked up prizes in the 10th annual Great American Song Contest.

David Myles snaked first place in the acoustic category for live clapganza/singalong "When it Comes My Turn." Joel Plaskett was tops in the rock/alt department for "Face of the Earth." And it's been a good week for Dave Carroll, who adds a second victory for "Now," which was deemed an Outstanding Achievement in Songwriting.
