Over a decade ago, DJ Chris Lawhorn put together a CD to benefit Oxfam's Community Aid Abroad division, which provides aid to war-torn East Timor. The East Timor Benefit Album features a variety of music, from rockabilly, operatic metal.

Then, last week, in a moment of resourcefulness or internet serendipity, NPR picked a track of the album - "Do Something" by the Smoking Popes - as Song of the Day.
