Turn down for what? How about turn up for Lil Jon and Tech N9ne at the fifth annual Halifax Hopscotch Urban Arts Festival.
The Atlanta-born rapper and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Lil Jon has had a massive hit this summer with his song "Turn Down for What," which means you'll see many more jokes like the one at the top of this post before the concert on Sept. 28 at the Cunard Centre.
Also, people will reference that Chappelle's Show sketch.
Jon will be co-headlining with the fast-flowing Tech N9ne, whose 2009 album K.O.D. unfortunately doesn't stand for King of Donair.
The Hopscotch Urban Arts Festival runs for three days, from Sept. 26-28. Other events this year include a drive-in concert, a national breakdance competition and a massive dance circle where participants can pop and lock surrounded by bass-pumping vehicles. There will also be a free concert on the Waterfront, workshops for youth, and a live art show where artists will work together to create a 60-metre mural.
Festivities wrap up Sunday night with the concert. Tickets will go on sale July 30, and can be purchased right here. Or check out more festival info here.
