I saw you at the most recent HomeBass. You were dressed in green neon and grooving effortlessly on the dance floor. I took your cool neon sunglasses and you slapped me for it. I think I fell in love right then and there. I hope I see your red hair at another event, you're truly something special.—Not cool enough for you

Thank you, "Susan in Halifax," for finding and reporting my credit card lost! You saved me from quite the hassle! I hope some good karma comes your way! —WK

Thank you for joining me on that empty dance-floor over a decade ago. If it wasn't for your sense of adventure, we wouldn't be here today. —French Canadian

you're in my class and I like what you talk about when you talk about love. your tenderness is refreshing, and your ability to be vulnerable is rare. I hope you find a love worth dying for.

I miss you. I never thought my daughter wouldn't know her auntie, one of my favourite people. Every time I listen to Raffi or Fred Penner or watch some silly kids' show on television, you are still (and will probably always be) the person I think about. I think about you a lot outside of children's programming, too. I wish I knew how to fix this. Happy birthday, my beautiful friend.

You don't need to keep leaving me treats and greeting cards in my doorway. I'm grateful to simply be alongside you.

There is something deeply powerful and profound about feeling seen, heard and valued by another. Our understanding regarding the importance of physical touch and social connection is greater than ever—and so is the need.

I hope to one day create a soup that you will love more then your 3am pizza slices. Until then buckle up! We are in for a soupy ride.

The first time I noticed you was last summer, when your hair was a purple, hot mess. You had held the door open for me. I didn’t thank you because fuck that patriarchal sentiment. I quickly walked past but only after checking you out cause damn you’re good looking. Nowadays I can’t stop looking. You’ve caught me a few times and have smiled back. Should I say hi? Am I being weird? Should I have just said thanks? Haha nah!

I think you'd make it in Bird Hollywood, but I hope our starter nest and all my love will do until then. You've got my head in the clouds, sweetheart.
