I would love it if you found my bike bag on September 5, and will return it for a reward of $200. Please help me get my life back if you picked it up off the road.

Today I was let go from a terrible job, however I was still an emotional mess. My Macpass fell from my windshield due to the heat and I couldn't find it fast enough. The toll employee was not the most understanding person. But then YOU offered to pay for my toll. Thank you for showing me such kindness on a day when I needed it the most!

On Tuesday afternoon, I was cycling on Main Road in Eastern Passage when you passed me. Just as you came alongside me, your right front tire blew out. Thanks to your skill and experience, I didn't even realize what happened until you were well ahead of me. I know how dangerous blowouts can be, and if you didn't react as quickly as you did you could have veered right into me. Maybe saying you saved my life is a bit over the top, but I sure am grateful that there are drivers like you out there who know exactly what to do in an emergency and stay calm under pressure. Thanks!

Thank you! Over the past however many years, our weather has become much more icy than snowy and a lot (a LOT) of homeowners still just do a quick shovel or let the city deal with the sidewalks. Also, it seems fewer people are salting or gravelling their sidewalks (or doing it enough). As a chronic pedestrian with terrible balance even on solid pavement, walking the icy obstacle course to work in the winter is both inconvenient and dangerous. I've gotten more bruises than I can count so far this year alone. But then... then I come upon a house ot two, or sometimes an entire block, where the ice has been eaten away by judicious salt application or studded with enough gravel to make for stable footing. I can walk without fear of personal injury or being late to work. My life has been rough lately, and even the small things like not having to skate halfway to work can make my day a whole lot brighter. To all of you who take the time out of your day—even if the city has already salted and it's not quite enough—to sprinke down a few hefty scoops of salt or gravel, and especially to those who go above and beyond to break up the larger sidewalk ice sheets, thank you, thank, thank you! I can't tell you how much your efforts are appreciated by the pedestrians of the city.

Thank you to the wonderful person who plays the trumpet from their North Street apartment. I truly enjoy sitting out on my deck listening to you play about.

To the stranger who left a note on my door on Friday, December 22, thanking me for "spreading the Christmas cheer.” THANK YOU for lifting my spirits. I am seriously ill, and just lost my closest friend tragically and unexpectedly, so it's a dismal Christmas. I almost didn't put any decorations out this year, but thought the kids at the daycare might enjoy them. Really glad that adults are enjoying them too. Thank you for lifting my spirits with your sweet note during this extremely difficult time. –Five Trees on C. Street

Thanks to the security personnel and ferry crews, helping all who want to use Transit on the ferries! People take off your headphones (which are not allowed, but tolerated on/in the Ferry/Ferry Terminal) Sit and chat with the person next to you. Don’t judge by looks, but listen to their story. I did for a year and wow, what a wonderful, diverse city I live in. —It's Me, Enlightened

Cheers to the one household on a certain south-of-Quinpool street with an orange sign amidst a sea of red!! My timid spirit bows to your boldness and you inspire me to act. I am with you in the hope for change. —So done with red
