43rd Annual Sports Celebrity Dinner- Hosted by Canadian Progress Club- Halifax

When: Wed., Feb. 19, 5 p.m. 2014

This annual event is now in it's 43rd year and features speakers from the sports world-some of them well known professionals. The first dinner was in held in 1972 with the goal of helping the King's Meadow Home for the mentally challenged adults of Windsor. In the past this dinner has had guests speakers such as Bobby Orr, Mark Messier,Gordie Howe,Mike “Pinball” Clemons, Jim Kelly, Jesse Owens,and many others. At the head table this year will be Superbowl quarterback Joe Montana. The event supports the Canadian Progress Group of Halifax in their efforts to raise money for the King's Meadow Home and many other organizations. There will be a raffle, sports trivia contest and a live auction to participate in.

Price: $250 (plus HST) or $2,500 (plus HST) (table of 10)
