Agreed. I don't believe they made the comments with the intent to act. It was exactly what you said it was: Nasty, juvenile and irresponsible. There have been rapists and pedophiles who have received less backlash than these 13 students. Society for ya.
Only an asshole feels personal satisfaction at the cost of another person's misfortune. At least he made an effort to have a better life and prosper... A near impossible feat in Nova Scotia!

The last thing the government wants is for smokers to stop smoking. If they wanted to put and end to it, all tobacco products would be outlawed. They are reaping huge financial gain from smokers, yet want to keep us neatly hidden. Hypocrites? Ummm yeah.

...and I truly believe that the government sees them as a threat to the revenue they take in from smokers. They are a much safer alternative to smoking cigarettes.
