$13/hour is a premium wage for accounting/admin work? Really?!? She probably needed some kind of diploma/degree aaannndd experience to even apply to the mediocre-paying position of your fucked up company, didn't she? You even said so yourself, her attitude went downhill *after* you added to her duties. And this is not any indication that she actually was overworked?! You probably added a lot more to her tasks than you're willing to admit. I'm glad she walked out on you. Have you ever heard of burnout? Fuck you, cheap-ass NS employer, who wants to have their cake and eat it too.

Yeah that sucks, but get back to work! You called in sick way too many times so I don't blame your boss for canning you.
