Alewives
Live Alone/ I Might

Andy Mcdaniel is one of Halifax’s (and Canada’s) best songwriters you don’t know about. Back in the ’90s he created sweet pop sounds with his band Leonard Conan. Alewives are named for a local fish and are attempting to release one CD single a month for the next year. So far there are two: Live Alone and I Might. Each contains an A-side and a B-side. Both are reminiscent of what made Conan great: well-crafted pop songs with oh-so-charming lyrics. And the releases are cheap too.
