Worlds Apart
This is a truly exciting record, for those of you interested in rock music actually moving forward. All at once you hear Death Cab, the Cons, the Arcade Fire and the Norts. It succeeds where many other progressive rock records fail, in that it manages to be cerebral without being esoteric and obtuse. Its skilled math-rock leanings are buoyed by great hooks and versatile vocals, and spiced up with creative uses of orchestral and choral elements.
