I had the pleasure of running the Public Lands Plan that led to councillor cars being ejected from Grand Parade, reviving that space for human use. There is a so much more worth doing in that plan, as Tim points out. The project consultants included Gordon Smith of CBCL locally, and Canada's giant of urbanism, Ken Greenberg. Among the project's professional recognition was a "National Honour Award" from the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects. Nothing to sneeze at. This is a plan that is in dire need of implementation, among others. Oh and also: TJ is an emerging major urban design talent in the city, and a grad of the Dal planning school - he's one to watch for sure.
