Angry Birds | Arts & Culture | Halifax, Nova Scotia | THE COAST

Angry Birds is one of the most popular mobile games in history (don’t worry, Tetris, you’re safe---for now) especially on the iPhone and iPad. But how does it fare on a home console? Angry Birds can be purchased on the PlayStation Store for $3.99 and you would think, since it costs more than its iOS counterpart, it would offer more content right? Not so much. This version is the same you would find on mobile devices but stretched to fit your TV. It looks beyond icky. To play you use the control sticks to fling the avian avengers, but it just doesn’t feel as precise as a touch screen. This game is probably meant to be played on the PSP, but it should have gone through some visual upgrades before it was playable on the PS3. Angry Birds was meant to be played on your mobile---keep it there.
