Beavis and Butt-Head
Directed by: Mike Judge, Yvette Kaplan
(Paramount)
These are only the episodes that Mike Judge doesn’t dislike, and there is good stuff missing. Still this collection—assembling three separately released three-disc TV series volumes and Beavis and Butt-Head Do America—is massive. Judge got satirical about cultural attitudes of stupidity, intelligence and tradition before there was any Borat. Real fans know the movie is watered down, but there’s also a reason it’s respected as one of the best buddy comedies of the ’90s.
