Best Bar

Gold Winner The Lower Deck, Halifax

Silver Winner Durty Nelly's Authentic Irish Pub

Bronze Winner Good Robot Brewing Company

A three-floor bar? What more could ale-chuggin’ Haligonians want? Some east coast music, dancing and good eats, that’s what. Luckily, the waterfront’s Lower Deck has it all. The first floor is home to the pub, where you can find bands such as Signal Hill, Wreckhouse and McGinty every day of the week. Upstairs, the beer market serves meals during all day and shifts into a dancefloor at night. Typical pub fare such as wings and nachos are on offer, but you’ll find seafood and vegetarian dishes. Find the tap room on the top floor, which can be rented out for private events.
