Winners of this category for four years running, these folks definitely have a corner on the breakfast market. Owner and chef Mark Giffen thinks the restaurant’s continual success must come from its uniqueness, quality and attention to detail. He says he and the Coastal team set their sights beyond the bacon and egg breakfast classics, looking to lunch and dinner items for inspiring ingredients they could use in a new breakfast plate creation. And it shows on the menu. Take the Durty Burd for example, two fried eggs, buffalo chicken, bacon ranch and guacamole served up on an English muffin—not exactly your regular old breakfast sandwich.
