Dio Mio’s homemade ice creams and gelatos scooped first prize in the Best Ice Cream category, beating Cows, who had a respectable showing despite only being open during warmer weather. Dio Mio makes all its ice creams and gelatos from scratch in an artisan atmosphere not usually found these days. Dio Mio originally offered homemade Italian gelato, but recently expanded the menu and will be undergoing renovations in the coming weeks to better accommodate its fans.
