Best MC

Buck 65

Halifax’s love affair with Buck 65 goes back a decade, through a plethora of monikers and millions of beats. It took Warner Music that long to sign him to a deal, distributing his back catalogue and current release, Square, all over the world. Though he’s also a talented turntablist, you chose Buck as your favourite MC. One fan explains why: “He has a good ear for music and can turn a phrase. He transcends the empty boasts of the typical materialistic MCs with his original flow, compelling storytelling, twisted sense of humour and varied influences, from non-hip-hop areas (like French films, folk music and Kiss).”
