Gold Winner Stewart Legere
Silver Winner Rhys Bevan-John
Bronze Winner Ben Stone
“The main reason I’m so touched by this is because it gives me something to hold over all the other actors in town when they start getting too big for their britches,” says the victorious, and humble, Stewart Legere. You’ll see a lot of Legere in the next year—from a solo album to Zuppa Theatre’s Pop Up Love Party due in March to Mass, with his Heartbeat co-star Tanya Davis, to a collab with Ottawa’s National Arts Centre Let’s Not Beat Each Other To Death, a solo show and “electro-pop dance party/play/vigil”—and likely, you’ll still be craving more. “I feel like I can actually evolve here,” says Legere. “People are willing to follow me through big changes, personally and professionally, and really engage with me and each other on each new project.”
