Best Massage Therapist

Beth Chase

It was a close race this year, with just one vote pushing Beth Chase ahead of last year’s winner, Julie Kells. Chase’s healing ways (which include the fabulous hot stone massage) are about to get even better: She’s away from the spa for a few weeks this fall to bone up on her aromatherapy and plans to incorporate reflexology in her treatments by the new year. “It’s not only her treatments but her approach with the clients,” says Melodie Chiasson, an aesthetician at Chrysalis. “She’s really interested in the feedback of her clients and likes to connect with them.” Chrysalis Spa and Skin Care, 5521 Young, 446-3929

1st runner-up: Julie Kells, YMCA, 1565 South Park, 423-9622

2nd runner-up: Sally Rowter, Cole Harbour Integrated Health Services, 51 Forest Hills Parkway, 435-3391
