Gold Winner Upstreet BBQ Brewhouse
Silver Winner Real Fake Meats
Bronze Winner Cafe Good Luck
Open for just a year, Upstreet BBQ Brewhouse has been giving hungry people an excuse to head into the belly of Burnside for a taste of southern barbecue. “I hope it’s our customer service that sets us apart—we wanted to be kind of an easy place to dine at with good food and good service, without being over the top,” says GM Mike Scaife of the restaurant, a collaborative effort between PEI’s Upstreet Brewing and chef Bill Pratt’s Chef Inspired brand. And then there’s the TLC that goes into, say, smoking a brisket for 12 hours. “Barbecue is tough to get right and it’s also very time-consuming—it’s total comfort food.”| Nov 1, 2018
