Best Phallic Symbol

Poster Kiosks

HRM spokesperson John O’Brien says that Jeff Cowling’s poster kiosk design echoes a Victorian cupola of the sort that once crowned vintage Halifax buildings. So is it just our dirty minds that make them our favourite public postering phalluses? Well, sometimes a pole is just a pole. But it just so happens that these ones have helmets. Hard, ridged helmets that glisten when wet. Asked for his thoughts on the erection of the poles, O’Brien says, “You can’t look a gift horse in the mouth.” Heh-heh-heh, he said “horse” and “mouth!” Heh-heh-heh. That’s SO dirty! Heh-heh-heh.
