“The team here really knocks me off my feet and the customers are obviously amazing. I’m sort of just a bystander between the two watching it happen,” says Salvatore’s owner Chris Cuddihy. He says the slices are so amazing for a lot of reasons—mostly because they’re three-quarters cooked and then finished upon order rather than sitting under a heat lamp—but it’s his staff that are the real champs. “On the craziest nights you poke your head in and they’re laughing and singing. I’m just really really thankful, without sounding like Oscar speech. It’s just touching.”
