Big shows and partnerships with Pop Explosion and Jazz Fest has kept Sonic Concerts representative Erin McGuire busy in 2019. Her favourite gig of the past 12 months? “Lucinda Williams,” who came to Halifax to mark 20 years of her watershed album Car Wheels on a Gravel Road. “We’re getting more and more anniversary tours and that’s really exciting—I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do.” To those who voted, McGuire says: “It’s hard to leave the house and hard to spend money. We love that you trust us to put on a good show.”
