You may have heard about a resurgence in cassette tapes. Well, if vinyl can come back, maybe people have been missing the mixtape, too. But for the record, Taz music expert James Reid isn’t seeing any spike in interest in tapes. “Most of our cassette tapes are in the dollar room,” he says, though admits, “People are still buying them.” Taz’s specialty is vinyl, with a mix of used and new records on display through the store. “They’re mostly used,” says Reid of the stacks. “They’re all mixed together.”
