For generations, men have been swallowing lightbulbs and making you cluck like a chicken on the Grawood stage. Now Dalhousie’s campus bar is bigger and better than ever. BAWK BAWK BA-KAWK! With the $3.2 million overhaul to Dal’s Student Union Building, the Grawood emerged from the basement (its home since 1988) to commandeer the main floor’s former cafeteria (which in turn relocated to the site of the late, great Green Room). Since opening for business last Halloween, the expanded Grawood has managed to inject new life into the campus institution while keeping it real with a steady diet of bands, DJs, open mic nights, comedians and BAWK BAWK BA-KAWK hypnotists.
