“This year has been a testament to my tenacity,” says World Tea House owner Phil Holmans. He’s referring to all the construction around the Nova Centre and elsewhere on Argyle Street, which has made managing a small business in the area even more difficult than usual. Thankfully, though, it’s still home to Halifax’s favourite tea. From chai to oolong, the place really has everything to offer a tea lover (and you can get a cup of coffee there too, if you must). “I’m hoping customers kind of see the value in buying from small farmers and that it doesn’t have to be hugely expensive,” says Holmans.
