Silver Winner Cara Bauld, 3rd Degree Training

Bronze Winner Devin Sherrington, 360fit

For Mitch Benvie, being a trainer is hardly a job. It’s more like “hanging out with friends, but you’re making them exercise,” says Benvie, who runs Evolve Fitness with his brother Mathew. In his opinion, being a good fitness trainer is more than preparing a good workout. “Connecting with clients is the most important,” explains Benvie. “We have a lot of people coming in here, so making sure that everyone feels at home and welcome is, you know—that kind of makes the Evolve experience.” And his secret to making a tough workout easier? “Lots of really bad jokes.”
