Gold Winner Emmanuel Nwogbo
Silver Winner Ursula Johnson
Bronze Winner Bria Miller
“It feels great. I didn’t think I had a chance—it’s just wonderful,” says Emmanuel Nwogbo of his surprise (to him) gold win. The digital collage artist garnered a fervent Instagram following in 2017 as he aimed to create a new piece of art every day. (The result? 365 James Bond-themed pieces laced with camp.) Since then, the Nigerian-born NSCAD grad has moved on to collages that insert himself into his favourite movies (see him share a box of chocolates on a bench with Forrest Gump on his insta, @nigerianexpert). Though more and more paid gigs means his daily dose of pop culture has lessened its frequency, the sweet, sugary taste isn’t going to be fading away on fans anytime soon.
