Breaking: aliens attack

Eastern Front Theatre to provide details on Friday

The War of the Worlds
Friday, November 4, 8pm
The World Trade and Convention Centre, Summit Suite, 8th floor

You will have already heard the news by the time you read this. What began as a strange object landing on a farm in the Annapolis Valley, has, within hours, turned into a world-awide alien invasion. Photos of a strange light emanating from Citadel Hill have been circulated, and sources say the fortress has been an incubator for thousands of alien eggs. Internet and telephone communications are down and Coast editors have escape plans to a secret underground bunker and will continue to publish each Thursday for as long as they are able. Unfortunately, Eastern Front Theatre's very calm artistic producer, Jeremy Webb may be among the casualties, and sent this message via carrier pigeon: "Holy crap! This can't be happening. I think the new Nova Centre just took a hit! I'm under my desk, with slimy alien tentacles coming through the windows. You can't make this shit up." Only time can tell who will survive the alien attack. For those brave enough to venture outside, Eastern Front Theatre will provide a distraction from the invasion on Friday, November 4 at 8pm at the World Trade & Convention Centre. A Hal-Con special event sponsored by Strange Adventures, Eastern Front Theatre will recreate the broadcast of Orson Welles' The War of the Worlds. Stay safe, Halifax.
