Re: “Tall ships come to Halifax

I LOVE that the Tall Ships are here and there is something for everyone.. Clearly the organizers have put a lot of thought into everything. I have been a preschool teacher for more years than most people can count to and I have enjoyed having a Pirate themed week and exploring much of what is offered.

As a family person.. the prices are right! $5 ..climb on any ship for the day..(Drag the grand kids... Your own kids or hell borrow some... THEY ARE FREE .....) $2 Theodore The Tugboat rides??? Free Pirate Gold for the digging over at Pirates Landing?!?!?

Seriously?!?!? Battle the crowds! Have fun! A Family of 5 can have a fab day out and MEMORIES to remember for $20... got a little extra??? Eat Breakfast and support a cause.. then and curl up next to someone you love and watch Johnny Depp or Mel Gibson swooning across the cinder blocks at the door theatre..

If you just "Happen" to learn by accident.. that the war of 1812 meant that we weren't taken over by Americans... and we got to ask the Monarchy later for independence..(WITH MANNERS!!!!!) and it WORKED!!!! so be it???

By the way if you are PMSing this weekend.. Laura Secord was a figure in the War of 1812 .. Why not find out HOW?..
