- The Aeolian Singers of Halifax take musicals throughout the years.
The Aeolian Singers of Halifax are taking a step in a new direction. The choir will be performing a new original production written by former music educator Eleanor Hall. The night will showcase a medley of Broadway classics from the 1940s to present day with full choir numbers and soloists. Members of the choir will also be performing monologues depicting how musicals have evolved throughout the years. Backed by Hannah Parks on keyboard, audience members will hear a diverse range of songs from "Stormy Weather" to Rent's infamous "Seasons of Love" and Wicked's "Popular." Choir manager Peggy Walt says that in the past the ladies have done more issue oriented performances. This time the choir wanted to sing something more fun for themselves and the audience. Don't forget to slick your hair, wear your buckle shoes and all that jazz.
