Remarks: On Patrol called the Public Archives, the premier’s office, the HRM call centre, and the provincial Department of Transportation and Public Works, but nobody knew who was supposed to field a graffiti-reporting call for the Archives building. Graffiti alone isn’t particularly noteworthy, but the Public Archives sign deserves a special mention considering how long the sign has remained defaced. For years (at least two, possibly longer) the Public Archives has been labeled the “Pblic Archives,” and no one has bothered to get rid of the “X.” To make matters worse, the lettering on the side of the building is missing a letter, too: There, the building becomes the “Pulic Archives.” Two misspellings, and neither one make the obvious and juvenile “pubic archives” gag. Inexplicable.
Who's Responsible?: Nobody, it seems.
