Shabby-looking basketball net near Inglis St. Elementary school.

Reader tipping continues this week with the shabby-looking basketball net near Inglis St. Elementary school. I wouldn’t dunk on that thing with a 10-foot pole. Which I would need. To dunk.

Remarks: The process for reporting damaged school equipment is a bit convoluted. Clattenburg handles requests from school staff, and then his department passes them on to the city. But, as one might expect, safety repairs take precedence over recreational needs (like b-ball nets), so things don’t look good for ol’ Netty McEyesore here. But, a bit of paint, a bit of mesh, BAM! Whole new ballgame.

Who's Responsible?: Charles Clattenburg, director of operational services with Halifax school board. 464-2000 ext 2144.
