Busker Fest welcomes back Ol' Savannah

The folk/roots rockers are coming to a waterfront near you, and they won't be breathing fire.

Boardwalk buddies, Ol' Savannah.

Somewhere among the magicians, mimes, pyromaniacs and breakdancers that will be stealing your attention as part of the busker festival, you find these gritty folk rockers from Quebec. It'll be Ol' Savannah's second year performing as part of the festival and while they'll play a standard bar show at Gus' on Sunday, you'll have multiple chances daily to see their set on the waterfront. "It's just a blast participating in a busking festival with all these different artists. We don't have any gimmicks that we know of, in order to gather the outdoor crowds," says Ol' Savannah's Speedy D. Clark. "But, I think Bartleby's beard does attract a myriad of kids, whose parents are more than gracious." The busker stint is part of the Won't Get Drunk No More Tour, which brings the band through the east coast just in time for the release of an EP with the same name.

August 5-12 , Halifax International Buskers Festival, Halifax Waterfront, see for details/ Aug 7, Gus' Pub, 2605 Agricola Street, 9pm
