It's interesting to watch the parade of nations and realize that, through sheer number of entries, Canada has a much better chance than, say, Guyana. But I guess with less than a million people in Guyana, and an average per capita income of less than $5,000, I imagine the Olympics are on the to-do list right below farming, malaria, and bauxite mining. And heck, as an equatorial coastal country, when coach says "Hey, let's start an olympic team," I doubt anyone lounging on the beach is at all interested in getting up and doing a few laps.
Bangladesh has 150,000,000 people, and they have four more athletes in the parade than Guyana. Maybe they just hate sports.
