Obey Convention

Campaign for Infinity Showcase & Weird Canada BBQ

When: Sun., May 30, 3:30-5:30 p.m. 2010

Montreal-based tape label Campaign for Infinity is celebrating its two-year anniversary at the Obey Convention this year, with a free afternoon show at Lost & Found. Creator and jack-of-all-trades Brett Wagg---whose originally from Halifax---has two friends who help him and the label out, but it's his baby that he's feeding and blowing out two birthday candles for this year. Along with a compilation release and performances by Pig, Friendly Dimension, The Ether and Self Surgery, Weird Canada's Aaron Levin will be grilling food and deejaying outside the store. "Free show, free food and free stuff," says Wagg with a laugh. Makes for a pretty good Sunday. –Holly Gordon
