When: Wed., July 1, 10 p.m. 2015
Whether you’re a patriot or pyromaniac, Canada Day is prime time to watch things blow up in the name of our nation. At 10pm on July 1, some poor, brave souls will set off fireworks from a barge in the harbour. The spectacular show is best viewed from the Dartmouth and Halifax waterfronts, but Haligonians can be found huddled in blankets and flags on high ground all over the city and lining the pedestrian paths on the bridge. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, a cancellation will be announced by 8pm and the rain date for the fireworks is Friday, July 3.
