No Flyers Please always have time to help others

Further highlighting how lovely and generous Halifax bands are is the Canada World Youth benefit show on Friday, May 29 with No Flyers Please, Hoop Dreams, The Fat Stupids, The Numbered Head and The Fool (Gus’ Pub, 10pm, $5). Proceeds from the door will benefit volunteer operations at home and abroad with Canada World Youth. “When my partner Nicole was accepted into the CWY program as a volunteer I offered to use my birthday show as a fundraiser,” says the ever-giving Isaac Hansen (bass, No Flyers Please). “She needs to raise a certain amount before she leaves for Honduras in September, and has plans for a few more fundraisers over the summer to reach her goal. “ All that’s asked of you, the attendee, is a willingness to appreciate beautiful punk and pop music. That’s not that much.
