Doors at 6:30. This film by Stephane Lafleur was very well received at Cannes and presents a humorous look at the tumultuous journey of those in their twenties. Julianne Cote plays college graduate Nicole, back working in her small town in Quebec and passing her evenings with Veronique, her best friend. Her brother Remi, played by Marc-Andre Grondin, and his band come back to town with his band and interrupt their half-hearted attempt at a fun summer. This film reflects that struggle that those in their twenties face when they are in between holding on to what they’ve always known and facing the real world.
