This Saturday night, 8pm at Neptune Studio Theatre (1593 Argyle), the Centre for Art Tapes is holding their 20th-anniversary Media Arts Scholarship Screening. For the past six months, Bethany Riordan-Butterworth, Suzi Cameron, Leah Girardo, Kate McKenna, Leslie Menagh, MJ Sakurai, Bonita Hatcher, Jacinte Armstrong and François Gaudet have been busting their asses, learning the skills to produce their first media arts project. As a former scholarship recipient, I know that a truckful of tears and sleep deprivation went into these artworks, so be nice and go support these fledgling media artists as they sit anxiously waiting for their video to appear on the big screen.

Tickets are $10 or $8 for students, available at CFAT (CBC Radio building) and Anna Leonowens Gallery (1891 Granville), and all proceeds go towards this fantastic program.
