Chloe Jones is starting over. Well, sort of. After getting warmed up with her debut EP, Old Palace, the UK native, who’s a classically trained pianist with a master’s in pop music, has a new plan. During a recent trip to London for some festival gigs, Jones and her like-minded bandmate Matt Fudge, decided to say bye-bye to their five-piece band and push forward as a duo. The two, under the moniker Dreamplane, are working on a full-length album which Jones calls a continuation of her March release. “It’s really important, more than ever now, to explore different things. There’s so much music out there, you really have to stand out,” she says looking forward to kicking up Old Palace’s electronic hints, strange sounds and synth. With a voice unlike other leading ladies in town, the girl who dreamt of being a concert pianist is about to remind Halifax what pop music is.
