With Queen Street's MAKENEW on the move, there’s room for a new face on the block. Make that two: Amy Honey and Sherry Lynn Jollymore, they'll be debuting their new collaboration, a curated vintage and handmade clothing boutique and art gallery, come February 15.

Honey—known for Fancy Lucky Vintage, her Etsy line and Lawrencetown shop dedicated to rare used clothing—and Jollymore—textile artist, co-founder of Agricola Street's Lost & Found and the brains behind Fancy Pants Designs—bonded after discovering a shared love for Alexander MacQueen (a sign from the fashion gods, says Honey) and decided to bring their collections together to create FANCY (1526 Queen Street, upstairs).

"We are both trying to keep it pretty simple and the emphasis is on FANCY. Things you would wear to special events, evening cocktail attire and wedding attire, but we will also be including some great classic pieces for everyday wear," says Honey.

The shop will carry carefully curated men's and women's vintage clothing and accessories (with a focus on the older pieces), handmade fashion from Jollymore and Honey, and will also showcase textile art in its gallery space. Eventually the pair hope to bring in clothing from other local designers as well as use their own design and tailoring skills to take on special projects with film, theatre and photo styling.

"We're both really inspired by pushing the limits of fashion, clothing as an art and lifestyle choice," says Honey. “For me, the history of fashion is endlessly captivating, and I have a strong love of working classic vintage styles into modern looks There will be no factory made garments in our shoppe, it will all be one of a kind, rare and hopefully covetable.”
