Corridor Wasting Disease: Robie Street, A Case Study

When: Oct. 4-31 2017

Peggy Cameron's photography exhibit sees art and science collide as she puts the city's hotly-debated Centre Plan in front of her camera lens. The result? She documents what her artist statement describes as "some of hundreds of Halifax homes at risk of extinction" due to the Centre Plan's vision of "growing more than a dozen streets into 'Corridors' by increasing building heights to 4–6 storeys or more." Call it a battle cry for Halifax's current state, with her warning "Unless the disease is arrested, CWD will lay waste to hundreds of unique wooden buildings."
