Re: “Amateur Hour

I worked in radio as a DJ and my brainiac co-worker insisted on calling Shiite Muslims a word that rhymes with spit. I tried correcting me and he told me I was just a stupid DJ, what did I know? More than him, evidently. My other favourite was the person who pronounced the leader's name "Yassir Air-FART".

You are correct in indicating someone needs to sit down with this person and help her out. As my crusty old news director advised me: listen to CBC. They usually have it right.

Re: “why tailgate me?

I agree 100%!!! My tailgater the other day in the big black truck on Dutch Village Rd. laid on his horn as I waited to merge onto Joe Howe. There was, like, you know, a CAR COMING and I had a Yield.

Why do people insist on driving like that twit in the Grey Power ads???

I do slow down to piss them off though, I have to admit. It feels REALLY GOOD. :P

Re: “Brewdebaker's Tap & Grill, Clayton Park

I'm really surprised to read about your experience with the dairy allergy situation. It's a very serious thing, I agree and I don't mean to diminish your experience at all.

I eat a salt-reduced diet and the wait staff and cooks have done an excellent job accommodating my needs. The waitresses I have had have taken the time to listen to my request and ask questions, and the food has always fit the bill. The blackened chicken fettucini is my absolute favourite.

I can only speak for myself. My experiences have all been super, the food A-1 and the service excellent. I'm taking my Mom and Step-father there next time they're in town.

Re: “Durty Nelly's Authentic Irish Pub

Best buttermilk chicken I have ever had. Ever. Service can be slow sometimes, but the food? Soooooooo worth it.

Re: “Regicide

Sadly I was giving the Crown one LAST chance as I sat reading your review. The wings were okay, but the twin filets were HORRIFYING. They had not been grilled or charbroiled. They were pasty gray and the bacon was limp and soggy. The meat tasted...funny...I don't want to think about it. Potatoes too peppery and salty! Never again, sorry guys, nice concept but you cut way too many corners!
