Dafoe and Pattinson to visit The Lighthouse in Nova Scotia

Pre-production on the horror film is underway in Yarmouth.

Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe and ex-vampire Robert Pattinson will star in The Lighthouse, a horror film set in Nova Scotia in the 20th century. Unlike Maudie, the movie will also shoot  in the province. It’s being directed by Robert Eggers, whose debut The Witch (AKA The VVitch) was a modest hit in 2016.

Pattinson, whose latest film is the Safdie brothers’ Good Time, and British hip-hop artist FKA Twigs ended their engagement late last fall. Dafoe was recently Oscar-nominated for his role in the great drama The Florida Project
