Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Square Enix)

Available on Windows, Xbox 360, PS3, Mac OSX

What does it mean to be human, and at what point does one shed their humanity? That is the theme constantly being asked throughout the story of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. You play as Adam Jensen, head of security for a major human augmentation firm, until a conspiracy unravels from all sides, and you jet around the world and try to solve it. The story is the highlight of Deus Ex as it continuously draws you in with twists and turns, with heavy cyberpunk elements. The gameplay is solid but does leave a few things to be desired. You decide how Adam evolves through the game, but if you focus only on one attribute, such as hacking, you could end up extremely vulnerable during the boss battles. The game also lacks replay value since you can’t port your badass character to a new game. That said, anyone who enjoys a good conspiracy theory or science fiction should check out this game.
