What do you get when you combine a dysfunctional family, a bad family dinner, daytime TV and a cooking show in one? No, it's not the Kardashians---it's Domestic Train Wreck. This original piece written by and starring Melanie Bennet celebrates and critiques the role of the housewife by examining three generations of women through excerpts from novels and day time TV shows housewives infamously love so much. "We're not calling it a play, it's a performance," says director Richie Wilcox. And he would be right, with Scientists of Sound's Aaron Collier providing sound play on stage, and with moments where audience members can sample food and be on trivia game shows, it's not the usual "sit down and watch" deal. It's gonna be a blast.

June 6-June 10 at the North Street Church, 5657 North Street, 8pm (2pm Sun), $20 (pwyc June 6), 420-6909
